The name CalyFx is derived from Caly (the female flower), California(where it is made) and Fx (for the effects our customers enjoy from our custom strains).
Our Company was formed because Mr. D’Alessio, our founder, had a brother, Bill, who was autistic and suffered from Grand Mal seizures. Modern medicine did not have an effective solution then; and to this day, still does not. The only option was very expensive medication that would reduce the seizures, but also had detrimental affects on organs. In addition, the medication left Bill drugged and depressed with limited ability to function. Soon Bill’s kidneys stopped functioning completely. One morning, Bill had his last seizure, fell out of bed, and was found dead.
When Mr. D’Alessio found out that all natural hemp and cannabis products that have been around since 4000 BC, would have stopped the seizures, he was outraged that our government outlawed it—and more importantly, outlawed all research in 1970.
Mr. D’Alessio, an early internet pioneer, vowed to create an organization that would research and develop products to combat harmful conditions without the resulting bodily damage. Everyone involved with CalyFx also has a personal hemp story and are all on a mission to make life changing products. FEEL THE EFFECTS is not just our slogan it is our mission.
Today CalyFx has created various custom strains to help those with Autism, PTSD, Parkinson’s, Opioid addiction and more. CalyFx also has strains for sleep, anxiety, sex, pain, energy, relaxation, focus, and weight management in both humans and animals. The various strains are available in vapes, tinctures, topicals, sprays, water, and more. CalyFx also offers custom formulations and white label services. All CalyFx strains are 100 percent natural and made in the USA to the highest standards. Our strains are always third-party tested and placed in lead-free, heavy-metal-free containers and devices.
