The standard base ingredients are apple cider vinegar, garlic, onion, ginger, horseradish, cayenne, lemon and orange peel, and local honey from Haw Creek Honey. I allow my ciders to brew and do their magic in a dark cool place with honey calcite and clear quartz to bring about abundance in health and clarity!! I sing to them and shake them daily. Other businesses are represented in my fire ciders. In EVERY BOTTLE there is Fermenti Foods’ fermented garlic salt for an extra probiotic boost. Other businesses included…Long Valley Eco-Biotic Farms, Red Moon Herbs, Floating Leaf Family Farm, Rayburn Farms, locally foraged herbs and herbs from my own garden. ALL ingredients are organic and/or sourced as local as possible!
Fire Cider can be taken straight by the spoonful, added to organic veggie juice (throw in some olives and pickles — a non-alcoholic, health-boosting Bloody Mary!), as a tasty shrub, splashed in fried rice, or drizzled on a salad with good olive oil. It can be added to sandwiches, cooked greens, cole slaw, as a meat tenderizer, mushrooms and cooked beans! You can even add to bone broth! We like to take a teaspoon to a tablespoon each morning to help get everything going or take several times throughout the day if we feel the sniffles coming on.
